Wednesday morning dawned bright and warm in Myrtle Beach. I had been up for a while, stoked to have the opportunity to see Vaughn Gittin Jr. in action at the Myrtle Beach Speedway.
The Lingenfelter collection is home to some 200 rare, exotic and vintage automobiles hand picked by its owner Ken Lingenfelter. This has become the largest collection to private ownership.
Mustang Week Begins: Pre-Meet and Greet. I arrived at Myrtle Beach on Saturday morning, July 14th 2012. As I approached Myrtle Beach on 501, I saw a few Mustangs along the road headed the same way as me.
The Detriot Lakes Cruise Night is a yearly event hosted by various car clubs form around the State. This year I did manage to see a couple vehicles from California and Arizona. I recently just started going to these types of events as my time allows, and I haven’t been disappointed once!
Roush-Yates Performance had their Open House on June 23rd. The focal point of the event was their car show, which was limited to 150 participants. The awarded trophy classes consisted of mainly “Best Of’s” for each make, and a few other awards such as “King of the Dyno” and “Best Engineered”.
The Classic at Pismo Beach Car Show is now in itʼs 27th year and it has continued to grow strong since the early 80ʼs. The show is located in the beautiful downtown area and the on the pier on the Central Coast in beautiful Pismo Beach, CA.
The 38th Annual Cobra Owners Club of America Orange County “Concours De Nice” car show was held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Park Mall at South Coast Plaza. This year’s show was celebrating “The 50th. Anniversary of the Shelby Cobra” and the Title Sponsor was Meguiar’s Car Care Products.
The West Michigan Mustang Club holds a Mustang & Ford Car Show at Tony Betten Ford dealership every year. I’ve personally attended the show as far back as I can remember, and I enjoyed myself this year more than I have in a long time.
Carroll Shelby International, Inc., announced today that Carroll Hall Shelby, a man whose vision for performance transformed the automobile industry, has died at age 89. Mr. Shelby passed away yesterday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
The Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show is an automotive gathering held in early June to raise funds for Boys Republic, a private, non-profit, nonsectarian community for at-risk boys and girls ages 13-17.
