Best Damn Car Show In Town

Mike Miller co-owner of Pal Joeys Cocktail Lounge on Waring Road together with Child Safety Network held their Annual Car Show to benefit the Child Safety Network’s 22nd anniversary. Mike Miller together with Ward Lever are co-founders of the Network. The Child Safety Network prevents child abduction and child injury.

2011 Formula D – Vaughn’s Motor Removal

I witnessed something really cool at the Falken Tires paddock on the first day at the 2011 Formula D Rounds 7. Gittin blew his motor on, yet still went back out and qualified on 6 cylinders. Vaughn Gittin Jr’s team had already removed valve covers and everything on top of the motor to examine it. His crew wouldn’t say what the problem was but that they had to pull the motor.

The Formula D Finals took place on Oct. 7-8 at a venue better known as “The House of Drift” at Toyota Speedway of Irwindale. This track has had a long-standing relationship with the event since 2005 where this year 32 drivers from across the globe would compete to be crowned as World Champion. These 32 drivers would involve huge names in the drifting world like Vaughn Gitten Jr. and JTP representing Falken and our beloved Ford Racing.
