This weekend Orange County’s top Mustang performance shop, 281 Motorsports celebrated its grand opening of their new location in Fullerton. In keeping with their high performance tradition, they did their event big!
The count down has begun folks! There is officially Six Weeks to SEMA 2010! For those that don’t know, the SEMA show is the premier automotive specialty performance products trade event in the world and it is held every year in Las Vegas, NV.
Jim and Stacy are 281 Motorsports newest customers. I met them a few months ago as they came referred to us from several Team Shelby members. They arrived late last night from Shelby Auto’s in Las Vegas where they picked up there car which happens to be the very first car sold to the public, #4. #1 was a Prototype sold at Barrett Jackson, #2 is owned by Carroll Shelby, #3 is owned by Don Prudhomme and #4 is now in possession of Jim and Stacy from Idaho.
It was a rainy day today in Los Angeles, but the crowd kept dry inside the LA Convention Center for this years 2009 LA Auto Show. Many great cars on display but for those Ford fans, Ford Motor Company had a crowd pleasing display of the new Ford Fiesta and SHO Taurus.
Cars and Coffee is held every Saturday morning at the Ford headquarters. The event usually goes from 7am-9am but some people get there early! Today was a busy day considering its November I was expecting a smaller turn out, but because of the beautiful weather everyone came out. At Cars and Coffee you never know what your going to see.
Support the Carroll Shelby Foundation – Helping Kids In Need. 281 Motorsports was built and founded on being committed to giving back to the community. From a variety of different forms of contributions in the past, this certainly is one of the most important….helping children in need. As a child I can remember how important the community outreach was for my family during my Mother’s terminal illness.
Jason Cenora and his team at 281 Motorsports recently moved into a new, larger location in Anaheim, CA. I attended their one year anniversary and re-grand opening to check out the cool rides they’ve worked on. I also got the chance to chat with local Orange County mustang lovers while grubbing on some good bbq. I saw some cool looking Ford Mustangs, check out these pictures.
