A very special Carroll Shelby Tribute is taking place in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Ford and SEMA are hosting a special tribute to Carroll Shelby, a long-time Ford friend and partner, and perhaps one of the most famous names in performance.
The Ford Booth draws the largest crowds at The SEMA Show and its not hard when cool cars like the new Twin-Turbo Ford Mustang Cobra Jet Concept makes its SEMA Debut. The Ford booth had something for everyone too, there were hotrods, modern muscle cars and gigantic offroad ready trucks showing off the latest in design and performance.
The Mustang Madness Car Show just celebrated its 21st annual Halloween inspired event. Scary customes, decorated cars and free candy were creeping all over the Ken Grody Ford dealership in Buena Park, this years new location.
The Intermarque Concours d’Elegance – New Zealand’s biggest classic car show has been running for 40 years. Not that I’ve been going that long though, in the few years that I’ve been in attendance I’ve always been amazed by the rare variety and exotic machinery that turns up.
(Auckland, NZ) – The clubs annual charity event was held on Sunday 30th September this year. It always attracts a huge range of vehicles from a number of local clubs. This year included Renegade Rod & Customs, Manukau Rod & Custom and Auckland Hot Rod Clubs plus others.
I was lucky enough to be invited to a special event at the original Shelby Factory on Princeton Drive in Venice, California. The same factory that Steve McQueen and Carroll Shelby were photographed in front of with the Black 289 Cobra.
This years event was held at Pukekohe Park Raceway on Sunday 23rd September. The event had been postponed since April due to a mix up over the venue and it seemed to show in the numbers of clubs and cars attending.
The 16th Annual Mustangs at the Queen Mary car show was held this weekend at the Long Beach harbor thanks to the Beach Cities Mustang Club. This car show brings hundreds of Mustang owners and Fords enthusiasts together for a fun filled day of celebration.
The Los Angeles chapter of the Shelby American Automobile Club held its 8th annual car show on the historic Santa Monica Pier. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the LAPD Pacific Division’s Winter Wonderland toy give away this holiday season.
