2011 Mustangs at the Queen Mary

The Beach Cities Mustang Club held their 15th Annual Mustangs at the Queen Mary car show this weekend. The weather was awesome and Mustangs of all years and variants were on display. A big thank you goes to Show Director and President of the Beach Cities Mustang Club, John Schultz and his pit crew team for organizing another great event.

22nd Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous

Route 66 in San Bernardino was the place to be this weekend for the 22nd Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous. It was a perfect 80 degree day for one of the hottest cruisin’ classic car shows in southern California. There were over 1,700 classics, customs, trucks, muscle cars and Mustangs stepping back in time this weekend, September 15 – 18, 2011 cruising the 35 blocks of downtown San Bernardino.

Greatest Show on Turf (san Diego, Ca)

The Greatest Show on TURF was held on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Liberty Station in Point Loma (Formerly The Naval Training Center). The car show was hosted by the Car Club Council of San Diego and all proceeds were set to benefit the San Diego Automotive Museum and the Car Club Council of Greater San Diego.

Fiesta de kustom kulture

Fiesta de Kustom Kulture, Car and Low-Brow Art Show, was held in the streets of historic Old Town, Saturday, Sept. 10. San Diego Avenue, Harney Street and Twiggs Street was lined with hot rods, street rods, customs, muscle cars and trucks of the pre-1972 era as enthusiasts walked the car show from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There was a voting and trophy ceremony for the top rides on display.

2011 Saddleback Mustang Stampede

The Saddleback Mustang Association held its 14th Annual Saddleback Mustang Stampede at Santa Margarita Ford. It was also the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks and a sense of American pride was shared by all. There were several American flags being displayed throughout the Mustang Stampede car show and a very respectful moment of silence was held to honor those who lost their lives.

FORD GT’s invade SLC, Utah!

The producers of the film Boys of Bonneville displayed the Salt Flats Racer Meteor III and the owner of the local race track Miller Motorsports Park arranged to have the Ford GT’s visit since they were having a national club event at the track. I had made a new friend there, the director of the film and he invited me to attend the VIP screening along with the Ford GT owners and the “important people” or so they were in their own minds.
