2011 SEMA Show highlights from the South Hall

Our continuing coverage of the 2011 SEMA Show has now reached the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The South Hall includes Trucks, SUVs & Off-Road, Wheels & Accessories, Powersports & Utility Vehicles, Global Tire Expo and First Time & Featured Exhibitors. We walked the hall to scout out the best concepts, designs and tricked out rides, and on the way we bumped into a few celebs.

I can assure everyone that Ford Motor Company is being well respresented at the 2011 SEMA Show and especially in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Similar to last year Ford Racing is providing a track for fans to go on ride-alongs, however this year the area for Drifting and Rallying is atleast twice as big. There are also several vendors with customized Ford F150’s and plenty of Mustang’s on display. Below is collection of photos from around the front area.

Shooting Live from the SEMA Show here at the Las Vegas Convention Center has been a little more challenging than previously thought. Every where you look there is a cool looking vehicle or beautiful model standing in front of a vendor booth. “Project Last Ride” a tribute to Joe Gosinski

A 2011 Mustang 5.0 was chosen as the Mustang of choice for a tribute car that’s being built in memory of Joe Gosinski of Chicane Sport Tuning. Joe was found murdered on December 23, 2010 in his shop and, in his memory, Sal Valdez a former customer and Matt Bernal a former employee joined together to create this custom Mustang to bring exposure to the tragedy, possibly find the killer, and keep Joe’s memory alive.

Best Damn Car Show In Town

Mike Miller co-owner of Pal Joeys Cocktail Lounge on Waring Road together with Child Safety Network held their Annual Car Show to benefit the Child Safety Network’s 22nd anniversary. Mike Miller together with Ward Lever are co-founders of the Network. The Child Safety Network prevents child abduction and child injury.

Georgia Regional Mustang Club Third Annual Mustang & Ford Show

With over 80 judged cars and 110 participants all told, the Third Annual Mustang & Ford Show was yet another feather in the cap of the Georgia Regional Mustang Club. The pool of entrants ranged in years and models from a 1931 Model “A” to a couple of brand new MCA-edition Mustangs. And what started out as a brisk, early-fall morning quickly warmed up to be an absolutely gorgeous day.
