As we see out 2012 I thought I would put together an album of Fords that I’ve spotted this year. Also, looking forward into 2013, as a CoolFords.com photographer and contributor I should be able to share some great events and content with you.
While most of the country has put away their Mustangs for the winter, those lucky folks in California have car shows until the very end of the year. The Beach Cities Mustang Club, one of the largest Mustang clubs in Southern California puts on the South Bay Showdown just days before the holidays.
The Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival has been going on for nearly 19 years now. It’s held just outside Auckland, at a place called Kumeu (pron ‘Kew-mew’), and is definitely on the ‘Westie’ (or ‘red-neck’) end of hot rod automobile shows.
If you live in Southern California who’ve most likely heard the Galpin Ford commercials on the radio. For weeks people like Ryan Seacrest and Joel McHale have been talking about a special Ford event taking place at Galpin Auto Sports and we were on hand to check it out and see what all the hype was about.
I decided to pop along to one of the monthly Mid West Street Rodders club meetups. Again this was a local event I had never been to before, but it’s staggering to see how much actually goes on around Auckland when you care to look.
Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is a trade association that consists of a diverse group of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and publishing companies. These groups converge every year at the Las Vegas Convention Center to see what the new trends are and where the automotive industry as a whole is headed.
Since SEMA is the largest aftermarket car show in the world, with hundreds of vendors showing off thousands of new parts and accessories, how is one supposed to stand out from the crowd. The answer is simple and if you’ve made it to this album you already know the answer. Hot girls and hot cars go together like peas in a pod.
A very special Carroll Shelby Tribute is taking place in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Ford and SEMA are hosting a special tribute to Carroll Shelby, a long-time Ford friend and partner, and perhaps one of the most famous names in performance.
