It’s a very sad day for Shelby fans around the world. Carroll Hall Shelby, the Texan who created the famous Shelby Cobra and uncounted other high-performance machines that have enlivened the auto world for 50 years, died in Dallas Thursday night at age 89.

The Team Shelby Member’s Weekend is an annual 3-day charity event that supports the Carroll Shelby Foundation, a program dedicated to helping children. 281Motorsports hosted this year’s event which included a Car Show & Casino Cruise, Wine Country Tour & Cruise and a Racing Event held at Fontana Speedway.

From a variety of different forms of contributions in the past, this certainly is one of the most important….helping children in need. As a child I can remember how important the community outreach was for my family during my Mother’s terminal illness.
