(Irvine, CA) – Two up-and-coming brands align together for the 2012 season of Global RallyCross. This year, David Binks – driver of Best Buy Racing’s No. 17 Ford Fiesta Mk7 and CoolFords.com – The Premier Website for Ford Enthusiasts, have both set their sights on an action packed partnership. David Binks will be competing for podium finishes against the toughest racers in the sport and CoolFords.com will be featuring each racing event with exclusive photos and videos.
The 2012 Global RallyCross season is set to kick off on May 26th at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. With anticipation for the new season starting, performance tuning shop Oslbergs MotorSport Evolution (OMSE) recently hosted a RallyCross Launch Party in Huntington Beach, CA.
The event highlighted Ford Racing’s lineup of drivers including; Tanner Foust, Brian Deegan, Marcus Grönholm, Toomas Heikkinen, and of course David Binks. CoolFords.com was at the party, drinking free booze, snapping photos and capturing video interviews. They caught up with David to talk about the upcoming season and get the skinny on his Best Buy/Serve Ford Fiesta.
As part of their partnership, David slapped two 7” CoolFords.com decals on the front of his Ford Fiesta and with 12” decals soon to come.
This type of high profile partnership with David Binks, a professional race car driver is a first for CoolFords.com. Previously CoolFords.com had been sponsoring amateur racers and weekend road warriors as they competed in their respective racing competitions. The so-called “CoolFords Racing Team” consisted of articles featuring driver profiles, interviews and photos.
However just as David has risen through the ranks to become one of the foremost Rallycross drivers in the UK, CoolFords.com is looking to up its game and show off some new and exciting content for its growing fan base. Jason Gavin, the founder of CoolFords.com was quoted saying “We are really excited to be working with David Binks this season, we wish him the best of luck driving his Best Buy/Serve Ford Fiesta to a first place finish.”
The Englishman has been on a roll lately – in 2011, David hooked up with Best Buy, one of the biggest named Sponsors in Global Rallycross. Now for 2012, another first for the young lad, American Express has announced that it will enter the Global RallyCross Championship through its Serve brand.
Serve will be a featured sponsor on David Binks Ford Fiesta. So what is Serve?
